NORDSTROM FEATURES MONEY SCHOLAR COIN BANKS IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER TRUNK SHOWS

September 26, 2010

Los Angeles, CA – September 29, 2010 – What does a Red Sports Car, a Base Ball Glove, A Pink Diva Handbag have in common?

The answer: They are all coming to Nordstrom!

Money Scholar, creator of the Money Scholar Coin Banks, will be unveiling these new designs and more at the prestigious Nordstrom Trunk Shows scheduled throughout November and December.

These poly resin banks not only look good, but they are good for children of all ages. They are tools that jump start financially smart habits – saving, investing, giving and spending.

Known for carrying high end products, Nordstrom is one of the first major retailers to recognize the quality of the Money Scholar banks and supports its mission to help children create a financially secure future.

“These Money Scholar Banks are so inventive and capture children’s imagination.” Marcille Hughes, the store manger for Nordstrom Santa Monica states. “When I saw them for the first time, I just knew that our discerning customers would want it because of its uniqueness and quality.
Seven shows in total have been scheduled with the first one on Sunday November 21st at the Nordstrom in Topanga. Then right after Thanksgiving, Money Scholar will be at Nordstrom Topanga again and at Nordstrom Santa Monica on Saturday November 27 from 12-4. Three more shows are scheduled in December at Nordstrom South Coast Plaza and Nordstrom Santa Anita in Arcadia, CA. “Having worked with Nordstrom as a buyer, I know that it is an honor to be selected for a Trunk Show.” Says Christine with her infectious smile. “I started this company because I found the traditional piggy bank to be ineffective in teaching kids all they need to know to become successful money managers as adults. I wasn’t able to find a good alternative so I designed one. I am so excited to showoff these banks and meet other parents who are looking for something better than just your average coin bank. So move over piggies and make room for Money Scholars!”
