Los Angeles, CA – December 20, 2010 – Money Scholar sales received a pre-Christmas boon from its seven successful Nordstrom Trunk show throughout Southern California.

More than 3,000 Nordstrom patrons were introduced to these unique money banks. Over 100 units were sold at the shows and many more ordered for Christmas delivery. In addition, the Money Scholar website also saw an increase in traffic as a result of the shows. The Money Scholar blog on WordPress and its page on Facebook also logged a major boost in readership.

The most popular design was the bug bank, which sold out at all seven shows. The Red Race Car also received overwhelming response from shoppers looking for a fun, classy and education gift for boys; and the Pink Diva Purse was favored by most of the girls (and their mothers) at the shows.

“I am so encouraged by the positive feedback we’ve had from these shows. And not just in numbers.” Christine Douglas, founder of Money Scholar asserts. “I met so many wonderful parents at these shows and almost all of them not only agreed with our message; but they got very excited that the market place is finally responding to the very real need to educate children at a young age on financial matters.”

Nordstrom is among the first retailers to carry these unique money banks. This is the first year Money Scholar has been invited to participate in the Nordstrom Trunk Show.
